We are rooted in the Gospel and in the spirit of Saints Francis and Clare. We strive to live in right relationship with all creation by deepening our relationship with Mother Earth and Sister Water, by standing with persons who are poor and by making peace and practicing non-violence. We are a group of 250 sisters, 130 associates, and numerous volunteers. We serve in a variety of ministries in 14 states, Honduras, Canada, and St. Lucia. We partner with other religious congregations and civic organizations to respond to those whose needs are greatest in this country and abroad. Our strength, our hope, and our joy flow from our commitment to prayer, to each other, and to the people God calls us to serve in love.
